Ann Darlene Johnson

Ann Darlene Johnson, age 59, of Goshen Road in Stanford, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.  Born Thursday, December 20, 1956 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of Lucille Robinson Pelkonen of Stanford, and the late Leonard Phillips.  Ann worked at Walmart in Stanford for the past 10 years, previously worked at Cowdens in Lancaster and previously worked as an assistant Head Start Teacher for Lincoln County.  Ann previously enjoyed taking her custom Mustang to car shows.

Along with her mother, Ann leaves behind one son, Christopher Michael Phillips of Louisville; her step-father, Walter Pelkonen of Stanford; two brothers, Charles Thomas Phillips (Donna) of Stanford and Leonard Wheeler Phillips, Jr. (Mellie) of Georgetown; three aunts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ann was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Phillips; her husband, Danny Johnson who passed away in October 2006; and one sister, Margaret McFarland.

The Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home in Stanford with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

The Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
