Bertha Baugh Ernst, 88, of Stanford, mother to Scottie and mother-in-law to Debbie, went to be with her Lord Friday, July 1, 2016. Born Monday, August 1, 1927, to the late Albert & Myrtle Flannery Baugh in Piqua, Ohio. She was a member of Stanford Baptist Church, former owner of the Cree-Mee Restaurant-that she enjoyed and had a lot of good times with her friends and customers.
In addition to her son and daughter-in-law, she is survived by her two grandsons, Brandon (Kim) and Sammy (Kelly); and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Breanna, Bryce, and Zachary; nieces and nephews, Martena (Bob) McEwan, Lynn Hodge, Billy Joe (Sharon) Baugh, Gary (Janet) Baugh, Garrett King, and Michael Wells; sister-in-law, Ann Baugh; several great nieces and nephews; and her grand dogs, Winston and Penny.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Margaret King; two brothers, James A. Baugh and Willie C. Baugh; and one niece, Beverly Baugh.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Stanford Baptist Church with Rev. Nick Manzie officiating the service. Bertha will be laid to rest in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Dwayne King, Gary Baugh II, Jimmy Rousey, Farris Marcum, Jon Hester, Joey Henderson, Tommy Kirkpatrick, and Bobby Johnson will serve as Active Pallbearers. Jeannie Bailey, Debbie Baughman, Gracie Gilbert, Mary Lou Kirkpatrick, Virginia Martin, Miranda Kirkpatrick, Dr. Rod Bates, The Bethany Sunday School Class, and The Rook Club will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
A Visitation will be held 3-8PM Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the home of Scottie & Debbie Ernst, 609 East Main Street, Stanford, KY 40484. A Second Visitation will be held 1-2PM Wednesday at the church.
