Bessie Ivagene (Williams) Ernst

Bessie Ivagene Ernst, passed away, at her home, on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 84.  Born Friday, September 16, 1932 in Kings Mountain, she was the daughter of the late James J. & Creota Kathryn Greer Williams.  Ivagene was the widow of the late Carl Ernst, whom she married September 1, 1955, and who preceded her in death March 15, 1999.  Ivagene worked as a Custodian for the Lincoln County School System, for many years, and enjoyed farming with her husband.  She was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening, and taking care of her grandkids in her spare time.

Ivagene leaves behind two sons, Jimmy Ernst (Penny) of Winchester, and Rob Ernst of Highland; two daughters, Debbie Ernst (Michael Jenkins) of Highland, and Sherry Cope (Scott) of Byrdstown, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arlis Dee Williams and Sherman Williams both of Stanford; and one sister, Dessie Reynolds of Stanford. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Ivagene was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Greer, Wonza Williams, and Kenneth Williams; and one sister, Wilma Jenkins.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Jones officiating the service.  Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain.  Mark Williams, Dwight Williams, Keith Williams, Dale Jenkins, Josh Ernst, and Nick Ernst will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Larry Reynolds will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Monday, June 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
