Darrell Gene Hargis, age 65, of Waynesburg, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at The UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born Thursday, March 20, 1952 in Pulaski County, he was the son of Anna Mae Greer Hargis and the late Leslie Hargis. Darrell enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Darrell leaves behind his loving mother, Anna Mae Greer Hargis; one brother, Rothel Hargis of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Wayne Hargis; one sister, Kathy Rose; and two infant sisters, Wanda Kay Hargis and Katie Sue Hargis.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, October 2, 2017 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating the service. Honoring Darrell’s wishes cremation rites will be honored after the funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date at Eden Cemetery in Eubank.
The Visitation will be held 12Noon-1PM Monday, October 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
