Dylan Tomas Lopez

Dylan Tomas Lopez, age 19, of Luther Gooch Road in Kings Mountain, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.  Born Monday, September 23, 1996 in Danville, he was the son of Dinah Gastineau Kendrick of Kings Mountain and the late Candido “Cande” Lopez.  Dylan was a 2014 Graduate of Lincoln County High School and was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed weightlifting, playing basketball, drawing-in which he was known to be a good artist, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Dylan leaves behind his step-father, Lee Kendrick of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Ryan Monroe of Middleburg, and James Lopez (Anna) of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Melissa Lopez (Ray) and Monica Lopez both of Austin; fiancé, Melissa Perez of Kings Mountain; two cousins, whom he considered his “brothers”, Tyler Collins of Somerset and Brandon Carman of Kings Mountain; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members who mourn his passing. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Tomas & Ramona Lopez; and maternal grandparents, Junior & Vangie Gastineau. 

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown & Bro. Tim Jones officiating the service.  Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery in Kings Mountain.  Ryan Monroe, Tyler Collins, Brandon Carman, Shawn Kendrick, Noah Goodpaster, and James Carman will serve as Active Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 6-9PM Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
