Eva Yocum Gooch

Eva Yocum Gooch, age 73, of Geneva McKinney Road in Lincoln County, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at her residence.  Born Wednesday, July 21, 1943 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Margaret Perkins Yocum.  Eva was a homemaker, loved to spoil everyone in her family, and was a member of Geneva Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, and decorating for Christmas.  Eva was the widow of Leon “Buck” Gooch who preceded her in death on May 21, 2012.

Eva leaves behind one son, William “Bill” Gooch of McKinney; two daughters, Margaret Gooch and Lisa Wilham (the late Otis “Bubba” Wilham, Jr.) both of McKinney; five sisters, Stella Crawley (Marvin) of Broughtontown, Doris Richards of Hustonville, Vivian Luttrell of Hustonville, Bivian Walls of Hustonville, and Mary Durham (Ed) of Yosemite; three grandchildren, Cody Crowley, Sondra Wilham, and James Wilham.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Yocum.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Sims officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Cody Crowley, James Wilham, James Carman, Coy Luttrell, Ed Durham, and Chris McCammon will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Bill Gooch, Sondra Wilham, Elizabeth McCammon, Jim Miracle and Bobby Gooch will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
