James C. "Jim" Bunch, Sr.

James C. “Jim” Bunch, Sr., age 70, of KY Hwy 1247 in Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  Born Sunday, September 29, 1946 in Waynesburg, he was the son of the late Carl & Oritha Mason Bunch.  James was the widower of the late Harlene Brent Bunch, who preceded him in death August 28, 2012.  James was a truck driver, and hauled tobacco for many years.  He loved fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and taking them fishing, and car racing.

James leaves behind two sons, James C. Bunch, Jr. (Wilma) of Kings Mountain, and Thomas Bunch (Kim) of Waynesburg; two daughters, Betty Muse (Rob) of Highland, and Beatrice Wardlow (Bill Carter) of Danville; 9 grandchildren, Colleen Bunch, Cody Bunch, Dana Bunch, Jonathan Bunch, Brittanie Hayden, Jeffery Wardlow, Chase Hicks, Walker Bunch, and Tansy Symonds; 6 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl Bunch (Shirley), Bill Bunch (Jean), and Joe Bunch all of Waynesburg; and one sister, Violet Gourley (Harold) of Stanford.

In addition to his wife and parents, James was preceded in death by one sister, Rosetta Holtzclaw.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Mt. Moriah Christian Church with Bro. Vola Brown officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Jonathan Bunch, Johnny Walls, Chase Hicks, B.J. Bunch, Wayne Holtzclaw, and Jordan Smith will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Jeremiah Hayden, Aubree Bunch, Shaylee Alcorn, Aniyah Hayden, and Wesley Gill will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Monday, June 12, 2017 at the church.
