Johnnie Estep, age 58, of Ester Spur Road in Waynesburg, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. Born Tuesday, March 11, 1958 in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Golden and Mabel Eades Estep. Johnnie was a forklift operator at BPI, and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, NASCAR racing, collecting knives, and loved to travel.
Johnnie leaves behind his loving wife, Tammy Mounce Estep; three daughters, Leighann Keathley (Kevin) of Pikeville, Kayla Joe Petrey and Kansas Kay Petrey of Pulaski County; one brother, Charles Estep of Perryville; and five grandchildren, Braxton Keathley, Tyler Hughes, Kaitlyn Keathley, Kevin J. Keathley, & Kaden Keathley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Estep; one sister, Wanda Estep; and a step grandson, Ezekiel Petrey.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating the service. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Michael Perry, Randy Dowell, Mickey Hodge, Garry Dortch, Richard Phelps, Danny Adams, and Jimmy Gillespie will serve as Active Pallbearers. Johnnie’s grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
The Visitation will be held 6-9PM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the funeral home.
