Kenneth R. Leach, age 81, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Born Friday, April 19, 1935 in Waynesburg, he was the son of the late Harry and Zona Sims Leach. Kenneth retired from the United States Army after 30 years of service, was a security guard for American Greeting, a member of the American Legion and the VFW. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and mowing the yard.
Kenneth leaves behind three brothers, Lloyd Leach (Ruthene) of Georgia, Carl Leach (Frances) of Waynesburg, and Lanny Leach (Georgia) of Hamilton Ohio; one sister, Diana Eldridge of Stanford; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Leach.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM Friday, July 22, 2016 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Jacob Harding officiating the service. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. A Full Military Service will be performed by the Caswell-Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion.
The Visitation will be held 11:00AM till service time on Friday at the funeral home.
