February 26, 1952 ~ February 2, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Margie Cress, age 64, of Whitley Avenue in Stanford, formerly of Harlan County, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  Born Tuesday, February 26, 1952 in the Teatersville community of Harlan County, she was the daughter of the late Troy & Laura Banks Brock.  Her loving husband, whom she married July 14, 1989 is James Cress of Stanford. Margie was a previous factory worker, was of the Pentecostal faith, and loved to listen to music, make crafts, and spend time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Margie leaves behind one son, Mackie Bailey of Harlan County; two daughters, Crista Baldwin of Harlan County, and Gracie Cress of Stanford; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and several other family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Christine Bailey and Julia K. Bailey. 

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, February 6, 2017 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Pentecostal Fellowship Cemetery in Lancaster.

The Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Monday at the funeral home.
