Paul Douglas "P.D." Evans

Paul Douglas “P.D.” Evans, age 68, of Ridge View Drive in Danville, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.  Born Saturday, October 25, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank Raymond & Mary Frances Gooch Evans.  His loving wife, whom he married June 24, 1967, is Patricia “Patty” Southerland Evans of Danville.  P.D. was a US Navy Veteran, retired after 36 years of employment, from Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he was a conductor, and was a member of Junction City First Baptist Church.  His favorite past time was to spend time with his grandson, Coleman.  He also enjoyed genealogy, fishing, and computers. 

In addition to his wife, P.D. leaves behind one son, Mike Evans (Amber) of Harrodsburg; one sister, Shirley Rogers of Danville; one grandson, Coleman Evans of Harrodsburg; one step-brother, Billy Joe Brown of Danville; one aunt, Marjorie Gooch of Stanford; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who mourn his passing.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:30AM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Choe Sergent officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Full Military Honors performed by the Caswell-Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion.  Mike Richardson, Scotty Southerland, Billy Kirkpatrick, Larry Ballard, Butch Belcher, and Jose Castellanos will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Travis Fugate, Scott Releford, Shane Bastin, Brian Adams, Scott Montgomery, Willie Cheek, and Jeremy Ellis will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Monday, September 26, 2016 at the funeral home.
