Richard E. Hacker, age 72, of Science Hill, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born Saturday, July 14, 1945 in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late Earl & Marjorie Bishop Hacker. He was the husband of Francine Witt Hacker, whom he married on January 6, 1981. Richard was a member of the Waynesburg Masonic Lodge. He had many friends and was loved by all.
In addition to his wife Richard leaves behind three sons, Richard Dean Hacker (Jose Cordova) of Medford, Oregon, Russell Darin Hacker (Melissa Ann), of Feesburg, Ohio, and Shawn Allen (Jackie), of Eubank, Ky. ; two daughters, Rhonda Denise Hacker, of Milford, Ohio and Nicki Atwood (Todd), of Danville, Ky. ; seven grandchildren, Mark Fletcher, Brittany Fletcher, Tessa Royer, Shawn Allen Jr., Savannah Lynch, Samantha Allen, Hannah Hacker, and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Randall Scott Hacker; two sisters, Anna Sims, and Barbara Bray.
A graveside service will held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Parlor Grove Cemetery with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating the service. Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home of Waynesburg is entrusted with Richard's arrangements. Guest book available at www.friendfuneralhomes.com.
