Danny Spangler, age 76, of Redwood Drive in Stanford, KY, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at his residence. Born Tuesday, July 7, 1942 at home in Kings Mountain, KY, he was the son of the late James Delmar & Agnes Gooch Spangler. His loving wife of 55 years is Carolyn Jo Seaman Spangler of Stanford. Danny was known, nationwide, in the 1960’s and 1970’s for his custom car work. He and his wife, Carolyn Jo, previously co-owned, along with William & Linda Downs, the Stanford Drive In and Flea Market (for 28 years). Danny loved his granddaughters and was always supportive of his girls. In his spare time, Danny enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as being one of the most creative persons around.
In addition to his wife, Danny leaves behind two sons, Jeffrey Todd Spangler (Vivian) of Junction City, KY, and Dennis “Doc” Spangler (Annette Lee) of Stanford; two granddaughters, Leya Faith Thomas (Corey), and Rachel Sidney Spangler both of Lexington, KY; one great-grandson, Street Michael Thomas of Lexington; two sisters, Sharon Kay Bronga (Bill) of Cocoa, FL, and Shela Rose Weise (Ron) of Titusville, FL; and one brother-in-law, Jack Ivey of Richland, GA.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Ivey.
Cremation Rites have been honored. A Private Family Celebration of Life and Burial will be held at a later date.
