Easy going and kind, Mr. Bertram was quite the gentleman. I imagine most of us were happier to see him after school than before but happy to see him none the less. A part of his legacy will be the many adults who fondly remember George Bertram from their youth in our little hometown. Condolences, vpg

Just saw this & am so sorry to hear about this. I remember hearing him pray in church & really loved to hear that....I will miss his friendship

Our community has lost a true gentleman. Mr. Bertram was my bus driver. He never had any problems with his passengers as he greeted us with a smile and always treated us with respect. He was my brother's Little League coach, and was encouraging and kind to his players. Snookie and I send our sincerest gratitude for his many kindness to us and our community. Lea Wooldridge
