Lawrence “Mike” King, age 66, of Richmond, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence. Born Monday, August 13, 1951 he was the son of the late Lawrence Melvin and Mary Bickel King. He was the widow of the late Wanda Laverne King who preceded him in death on March 30, 2017. Mike was a project manager for D&D transport company. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing music, and loved to make other people laugh.
Mike leaves behind two sons, Michael King (April) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Walter Denham of Goshen, Kentucky; four daughters, Sandra Lynn King Johnson (Eugene) of Aiken, South Carolina, Jacqueline Michelle Fernandes (Frank) of Aiken, South Carolina, Terri L. Denham of North Pole, Alaska, and Nancy Burgin of Louisville, Kentucky; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathyleen Stuffelbeam of Violet Hill, Arkansas.
Honoring Mike’s wishes, Cremation Rites have been honored. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
