Robert D. Everett, age 85, of Rebecca Lane in Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born Wednesday, September 14, 1932 in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of the late Thomas Ulric & Mary Ellen Miracle Everett. Robert was the widower of the late Louise Yocum Everett, whom he married September 2, 1952 and preceded him in death July 11, 2005. Robert was a US Navy Veteran, who served during the Korean Conflict era and worked as an Accountant at International Harvester. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post, VFW, DAV, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, was a Shriner, and was a member of the McKinney Baptist Church, where he was baptized in 1956. Robert was noted for being a good athlete, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Robert leaves behind four children, Donna Everett-Valdez (Jesus) of Phoenix, Arizona, David Keith Everett (Michele) of Bluffton, South Carolina, Danna I. Everett (Leigh) of Whiteland, Indiana, and Daren Thomas Everett of Stanford; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Everett (Lois) and Phil Everett (Linda) both of Stanford; and one sister, Ruby Everett of Frankfort, Kentucky.
A Visitation will be held 1-3PM Monday, May 28, 2018 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:00PM Monday at the funeral home.
Following the Funeral Service, Cremation Rites will be honored. A Graveside Memorial Service, with Full Military Honors performed by Caswell-Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion, will take place 3:00PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Burial will follow the service.
