I sure did enjoy Mr. Sowers as my teacher at Casey County High School 32 years ago. I loved learning history at his feet. He was a great man and educator! May you all have peace as you mourn the loss of your dear family member.

I have known Sherman all my life. He was a great friend of the whole family and a part of our lives for most of his life. He outlived my parents and two of my brothers, but he was special to me. I can remember the many times he picked Mom and me up and drove us to church and then drove us to my grandparents house where we picked up Dad. Then he would drive us all way out in the woods to visit Aunt Alma. I had him as my history teacher as did my husband. He will be missed. He was a good and kind man.

Your friends at Grove Ridge are praying for Sherman's family and friends. As Paul said 1 Corinthians 12:26 (KJV) - "And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it." at this time we are suffering with you but we know with the coming light there will be a day of rejoicing for us all.

I'm 68 and have known Sherman as long as I can remember. He was always a wonderful person and a great friend and a good example. His conduct was always a positive example for all his students and the local kids. He'll be missed greatly.
