Wilda Jean Sweeney

Wilda Jean Sweeney, age 87, a resident of Landmark of Lancaster, formerly of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018.  Born Thursday, December 18, 1930 in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Wallace & Eva Gooch Sweeney.  Wilda previously worked at Genesco Shoe Factory, was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.

Wilda leaves behind a sister-in-law, Faye Ray (Collis) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Craig Sweeney, Charles Sweeney, and Donald Lee Sweeney; and two sisters, Geneva Greer and Christine Singleton.

A Private Graveside Service and Burial took place Friday, October 26, 2018 at Double Springs Cemetery.
