Bonnie Hanshaw, age 66, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her residence with her sister, daughter and two grandaughters. Born Saturday, November 28, 1953 in Grayson, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mabel Thornsberry Hanshaw. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the Bible and was very strong in her faith. Bonnie enjoyed shopping and eating out, she loved her special baby Tiny.
Bonnie leaves behind one son, Jason Thornsberry, Jr. of Winchester, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathy Fields (Bruce) of Hustonville, Kentucky and Melisa Waddell of Robbinsville, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Katosha Russell (John Henry), Megan Pitts, Christopher Thornsberry, Kyle Thornsberry, Molly Thornsberry and Christopher Waddell; two great grandchildren, Major and Woods Russell; one sister, Ethel Lyons (Lewis) of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; and is survived by a host of family members who dearly loved her.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by two sons, Scottie Thornsberry and Phillips Waddell, Jr.; and two brothers, Frankie Hanshaw and Elwood Thornsberry.
A Graveside Service will be held at 5:00PM Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Family Farm with Bro. Andrew McGinnis officiating. Burial will take place at the family farm. John Henry Russell, Bruce Fields, Daniel Oetken, Jason Thornsberry, Christopher Thornsberry, Kyle Thornsberry and Raymond Thornsberry will serve as Active Pallbearers.
