Cameron Jamar Newcomb, passed away at the age of 26 years old on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. He was a loving son, brother, and a friend to many. His smile would light up any room that he entered. Cameron was loyal in his faith and love for his mother, his sisters, and his stepfather, whom he called Pops2. Cameron held a special bond for his sister, Tevin. They were not only family, but best friends from day one that she entered this world. Cameron was known for his enormous heart and will be missed by his family, friends, co-workers and all who crossed his path.
Cameron is survived by his mother, Cristy Coulter (Mark), his father, James Smith III, his sisters, Tevin, Shai, Alaki, Dominique and Diamond, his step-brother Justin, his step-sisters Brandi & Brittany, his aunt, Rita Young (Marty), two uncles Rodney Newcomb and the late Dennis “JackRabbit” Newcomb (Sabrina), his step-grandmother, Shirley Jackson, his step-grandfather, Robert Coulter and the late Mickey Goodwin who was there for Cameron as a father figure, a friend and a coach. Additionally, Cameron leaves behind many cousins and extended family members. Cameron will join his late grandparents, Ruth Newcomb and Jack Bowen, at the Lord’s heavenly gates, where we can see from here, that big smile, as he is surrounded by two of his favorite people.
A public memorial service will be held at Fox and Friend Funeral Home in Stanford, KY on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 2:00PM with burial services to follow at Barrow’s Cemetery in Stanford, KY. A public visitation will be 12PM-2PM Tuesday at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend. Pastor Robert Coulter, Jr., of Boneyville Baptist Church, will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be: Trace Goodwin, Derek Jones, David Wilson, Trevor Gaines, Haden Young, & John Hocker.
