Carol Lee Roberts Sims

Carol Lee Roberts Sims, age 67, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 30, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Science Hill, Kentucky.  Born Monday, May 23, 1955, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late Noel Lee & Fern Murphy Roberts.  Carol retired from Goodwill and was a member of the Stanford Church of the Nazarene. She was a previous factory worker and seamstress.  Carol loved her grandbabies more than anything in this world.  She also enjoyed reading and sewing. Carol was a member of the Stanford Lions Club, for many years was the Team Captain of the Sims Survivors Team for Lincoln County Relay for Life and was a member of the Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital Auxiliary.

Carol leaves behind two daughters, Angela Nadine Spears (Jon) of Science Hill, and Stephanie Nicole Powers of Stanford; two grandchildren, Caroline Grace Powers of Stanford, and Cooper Samuel Spears of Science Hill; one sister, Rhonda Williams (Mark) of Stanford; and numerous extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. 

The Public Funeral Service will be 1:00PM Saturday, at the funeral home. Bro. Buford Edwards and Bro. Isaiah Super will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Sims Cemetery on Robertstown Road in Kings Mountain, Kentucky.  Scottie Eldridge, Curtis Eldridge, Jr., James Murphy, Thomas Mitchell, Christopher Williams, and Jon Spears will serve as Active Pallbearers. Mark Williams will serve as honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions suggested to American Cancer Society.
