Danny Bruce “Pos” Hasty, age 65, of Junction City, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born Saturday, July 23, 1955 in Stanford, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Oscar Hollas Hasty, Jr. and the late Easter Marie Barlow Riggle. Pos worked as a welder. He was baptized in 1965 and was a US Navy Veteran, where he was honorably discharged July 1980. Pos loved hunting and fishing, and hunting mushrooms and Ginseng. He also loved the outdoors and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Pos leaves behind three sons, Bradley “Hasty” Johnson (Christina) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Nathan Hasty (Angie) of Junction City, and Cody Griffith (Amber) of Danville; one daughter, Holly Hernandez (Josh) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one step-son, John John Allison of Danville; one step-daughter, Heather Bottom (Scott) of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren due soon; three brothers, Larry Hasty (Phyllis) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, George “Bogie” Hasty (Jean) of Lebanon, Kentucky, and Steven Hasty (Elaine Hundley of Moreland, Kentucky; one sister, Yvonne “Von” (Elwood) of Harrodsburg; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Pos was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Ann “Momo” Cook.
A private family viewing was held Friday, May 7, 2021 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be honored. A Private Burial will take place at a later date.
