David Tex Russell, Sr.

David Tex Russell, Sr, age 75, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021, in Danville. Born Friday, February 8, 1946, in Williams, Indiana, he was the son of the late Danny and Hazel Perkins Russell. David was the widower of the late Sherry Prewitt Russell, whom he married Friday, August 20, 1965, and preceded him in death Friday, March 1, 2019. He loved being a Papaw.

David leaves behind two sons, David Russell, Jr. (Myrtie) and Brian Russell (Jack Owens) both of Danville; one daughter, Christina McClendon of Danville; three grandchildren, Brianna Russell, Marissa Smith, and Cheyenne Russell; three great grandchildren, Kyle Helton, Addison Smith, and Ryker Smith; and two sisters, Robin and Carolyn.

In addition to his wife and parents, David was preceded in death by one grandchild, Kyle David Reid; one brother, Danny Russell; three sisters, Peggy, Jane, and Mary; and two infant siblings.

A Public Graveside Service & Burial will take place 11:00AM Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Hilldale Cemetery.
