Debra "Debbie" Cassandra Owens

Debra “Debbie” Cassandra Owens, age 63, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at her residence. Born Tuesday, January 15, 1957 in Danville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John & Frances Sowers Estes.  Debbie was the widow to the late Kenneth L. Owens, to whom she was married for 35 years and preceded her in death November 13, 2010. She worked as a drafter for Stanford Wood Products and Corning. She was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed costume jewelry, hummingbirds, flower gardens and her dog Mimi.

Debbie leaves behind one daughter, Kelly Owens of Stanford; two grandchildren, McKenzie Bourne and Collin Bourne; one great-grandchild, Hudson; two sisters, Vicky Mays (Frank) of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Stacy Long (Jeff) of McKinney, Kentucky.

Due to current regulations related to COVID-19, a Private Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Chris VanHook officiating the service. Private Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  Will Bramble, Jeff Long, Frank Mays and Harold Jones will serve as Active Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers, who will not be in attendance for the private services, include:  Collin and McKenzie Bourne, Jimmy and Patty Sowers, John VanHook, Niki Curlis, Lindsey House, Colby Long, Barrett Curlis, Mike McClary, Mike Kuhaneck and Glenn Madison.
