Doris (McLean) Culbertson

Doris McLean Culbertson, age 91, of Stanford passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at her residence, with her loving family at her bedside. Born Friday, April 19, 1929 in Woodford County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Ira B and Vera Williams McLean. Doris was the widow of the late Everett Culbertson, whom she married Thursday, February 26, 1959 and preceded her in death on Monday, June 22, 1992. She attended Pleasant View Baptist Church and retired from the Lincoln County Health Department after a total of 16 years, being a Clerk for 13 years and an Administrator for 3 years. Doris loved to read, work puzzles and was quick witted. She was a kind and strong lady that loved the Lord and her family dearly. Doris had a smile that could light up any room.

Doris leaves behind three sons, Tom Wilson (Lynda) of Crofton, Kentucky, Larry Wilson of Pine Island Bokeelia, Florida , Raney Culbertson of Arkansas and Danny Culbertson (Katrina) of Stanford; two daughters, Jacqueline McKinney (Rodney) of Frankfort, Kentucky and Edwina Jacobs (Kenny) of Waynesburg, Kentucky; a daughter in law, Glenda Wilson of Waynesburg; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond McLean (Rosene) of Frankfort and Edward McLean (Grace) of Switzer, Kentucky; and one sister, Georgetta Towles (Joe) of Lexington, Kentucky.

In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Wilson, William Culbertson and Ira B Culbertson; one daughter in law, Veronica Wilson; two grandsons, Jamie and Barry Wilson; three brothers, Walter McLean, Ira B McLean, Jr. and Boyce McLean; and one sister, Estelle Simon.

Due to current COVID-19 regulations, a private funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. Bro Kerry Jones and Bro. Kyle Page will officiate the service. Private Burial will follow the service in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Brian Wilson, Michael Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Roger Wilson, Kevin McKinney and Chris Culbertson will serve as Active Pallbearers. Zack Jacobs, Sam Jacobs and Adam Culbertson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Private Funeral Service will be live streamed on our Facebook page at 2:00PM Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

A Public Visitation will be held 11:00AM-1:30PM Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with limited numbers allowed at a time.
