Dwight Merlin "Merle" Perry Obituary

Dwight Merlin “Merle” Perry, age 79, formerly of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Artis Senior Living of Mason, Ohio.  Born Friday, September 20, 1940 in Crab Orchard, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Coy & Norma Hyatt Perry.  Dwight was the widower of the late Linda Sharon Privett Perry, whom he married Saturday, October 10, 1981, and preceded him in death Friday, February 15, 2019.  Merle was a US Navy Veteran and worked as a machinist for many years.  He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, where he enjoyed working the Food Pantry Distribution each month.  In his spare time, Merle enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets with Sharon, enjoyed tinkering in his garage, and loved watching TV.

Merle leaves behind two daughters, Cindy Abas (Drew) of Loveland, Ohio, and Kathy Schierer (Jim) of Lakeside Park, Kentucky; six grandchildren; and three sisters, Patti Siegman of Texas, and Sharon Drake and Dianna Hale both of Alabama.

In addition to his wife and parents, Merle was preceded in death by one son, Kenny Perry; and three brothers, Glenn Perry, Ronald Perry, and Richard Perry. 

Due to current COVID-19 regulations, a Private Graveside Service and Burial will take place in Double Springs Cemetery.  Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the Private Graveside Service. 

A Public Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date. 

The Private Graveside Service will be live streamed on our Facebook page and broadcasted live on 102.9 WPBK FM at 12:00PM Friday, April 17, 2020.
