Gene Gosser, age 83, a resident of Landmark of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born Tuesday, April 6, 1937 in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Herbert Lee & Myrtle Lee Pennington Gosser. Gene worked as a farmer for many years.
Gene leaves behind two sons, Junior Gosser and Chris Gosser both of Stanford, Kentucky; one daughter, Tonya Wine of Stanford; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Fredia; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Gosser; four brothers, Harvey, Harold, Horace, and Haskel; and two sisters, Matrice and Ruby (infant).
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-12PM Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home. Following the visitation, the funeral procession will leave for a Graveside Service at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Casey County. The Graveside Service will begin at approximately 1:00PM; and will be officiated by Bro. Johnny Maupin. Burial will follow the Graveside Service.
