Gene Rogers

Gene Rogers, age 85, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at his home. Born Saturday, December 21, 1935 in Waynesburg, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Claude and Peachie Terry Rogers. Gene was the widower of the late Ellen Kokemohr Rogers, whom he married, Saturday, November 10, 1956 and preceded him in death Friday, March 23, 2012. Gene worked for L.E. Meyers over 40 years, he loved farming and loved his special friend; Hayley Martin.

Gene leaves behind one daughter, Regina Daum of Maineville, Ohio; one sister, Patricia Knechtly of Cincinnati, Ohio; a good friend, Roger Adams; and several nieces and nephews who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

A Public Memorial Service will be held 10-11AM Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.

The Public Funeral Service will begin at 11:00AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery at a later date.
