Howard "Kenney" Kenneth Jones

Howard “Kenney” Jones, age 69, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021, at his residence. Born Tuesday, July 24, 1951, in the Goochtown Community in Lincoln County, Kentucky to the late George M. Jones and Georgia Mae Padgett Jones Coleman. Kenney was of non-denomination faith and was baptized by Bro. Vola Brown. He was a wonderful artist, loved to draw, and a self-taught musician of various instruments.

Kenney leaves behind one brother, Richard Melvin Jones (Rhonda) of Kings Mountain; one sister, Polly Wanda Burton (Henry) of Kings Mountain; two stepbrothers, Roy Coleman (Freida) of Stanford, Kentucky, and Ronald Coleman (Joan) of Frankfort, Kentucky; one stepsister, Dianna McKay (BJ) of Kings Mountain; and several nieces and nephews who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Kenney was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Milford Jones; one sister, Betty Alma Jean Jones; and one stepbrother, Robert Coleman.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. David Gambrel, Bro. Joe Hatter, and Bro. Austin Greer officiating the service. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery. Nick Jones, Bailey Jones, Brandon Mullins, Zack Jones, Matt Holtzclaw, Jason Sutton, Austin Greer, and Sam Baker will serve as Active Pallbearers. Henry Burton, Conley Sims, Dennis Sims, and Lyndell Sims will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook Page starting at 1:00PM. Kayla Mullins will be the sign language interpreter.

The Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
