James Terry McGuffey

James Terry McGuffey, age 70, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  Born Sunday, January 8, 1950 in the Highland community of Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William D. “Bill” & Eva Ruth Gourley McGuffey.  Terry was a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church and was a big UK basketball fan. 

Terry leaves behind two brothers, Randy McGuffey (Judy) of Waynesburg, and Roger McGuffey (Kelli) of Mooresville, North Carolina; brother-in-law, David Carrigan of Science Hill, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews; and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Carrigan.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lockard officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.  Tanner McGuffey, Hunter Rice, Chris Carrigan, Bryan Carrigan, Randy McGuffey, Jr., & Charlie Rice will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Jennifer Middleton, Lori Rice, Melissa Reed, Mariah McGuffey, Kayla McGuffey, and Devin Middleton will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 12PM-2PM Sunday at the funeral home.
