Jean (Davidson) Estridge

Jean D. Estridge, age 92, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born Saturday, May 26, 1928 in Danville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Dester Marion and Nannie Kate Potts Davidson. Jean was of Baptist faith and a licensed beautician for over forty years, owning a salon in Danville, Kentucky for many of those years. She loved flowers and enjoyed spending time at the lake with her family and friends.

Jean leaves behind two sons, Johnny Coulter of Stanford and Jimmy Estridge (Nona) of Stanford; one daughter, Marion Coulter Cooper (Buck) of Stanford; five grandchildren, Tracy Coulter McDonald (Eric) of Louisville, Kentucky, Todd Coulter of Stanford, Clayton Cooper (Ashley) of Stanford, Jacob Estridge of Hawaii and Laura Dowell (Matt) of Owensboro, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Devin McDonald both of Louisville; two brothers, Donald “Buddy” Davidson (Carolyn) of Helenwood, Tennessee and George Dester Davidson (Sue) of Danville, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth “Libby” Foster and Rebecca June “Becky” Brickey.

A Public Visitation will be held 4-7PM Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the funeral home.  The Public Funeral Service will begin at 7:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  Bro. Kerry Jones will officiate the funeral service. The funeral service will be live streamed on our Facebook page.

A Graveside Service & Burial will take place 12PM Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Phillips-Long Cemetery in Helenwood, Tennessee.  Jean’s grandsons and nephews will serve as Active Pallbearers.

Due to current regulations, social distancing guidelines will be followed for the services.  Due to limited capacity seating, all family members will have priority seating for the funeral service.
