Jimmie Douglas Pharris

Jimmie Douglas Pharris, age 75, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Monday, February 3, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Olive Marie Madden Roland and the late William Nelson Roland.  Jimmie was a US Navy veteran, who served during the Korean Conflict.  Jimmie was a general laborer, and most recently worked at Amazon.  He enjoyed tinkering on cars, traveling, and loved to eat.

Jimmie leaves behind two sons, Jimmie Douglas Pharris, Jr. (Joyce) and Joey Pharris both of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Jessica Martin of Cincinnati; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy Jean Padgett (Eddie) of Waynesburg, Carolyn Sue Roland of Cincinnati, Hazel Marie Elkins (Vernon) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Stella Patrick (Steve) of Brown County, Ohio, Gidgett Padgett (Joe) of Waynesburg, and Tina Long (Russell) of Cincinnati; fiancé, Martha Black of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by siblings, Patricia Gail Kinney, Danny Ray Pharris, Bobby Roland, David Edward Roland, Mary Roland, and Donnie Roland (infant). 

A Public Graveside Service will be held 3:00PM Friday, March 18, 2022, at Olive Cemetery. 

A Visitation time will be held 2:30PM-3PM Friday at the cemetery.
