Kathy Tackett Owens

Kathy Tackett Owens, age 60, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away at her residence, Sunday, August 23, 2020. Born, Saturday, September 26, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Grant and Winona Newsome Tackett. Kathy enjoyed canning, watching criminal investigation shows, was an avid UK fan and loved Pepsi Freeze.

Kathy leaves behind one son, Michael Edward Owens (Anthony Marcum) of Lexington, Kentucky; two daughters, Winona Jean Sims (Dinah Herrington) of Stanford, Kentucky and Michelle Nicole Owens (James Marcum) of Danville; four grandchildren, Kathryn Owens, Brandon Sims, Brayden Sims, and Abbey Owens; one brother, Paul Joe Tackett (Lisa) of Stanford, Kentucky; and one sister, Shirley Hamilton of Lancaster, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by one son in law, Brandon “Kool Aid” Sims; two brothers, David Grant Tackett and Tommy Tackett; one sister, Brenda Lou Tackett; and one brother in law, Timmy Dean Hamilton.

A Public Funeral will be held 1:00PM Friday, August 28, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery

Public Visitations will be held 5-8PM Wednesday, August 26, 2020 and Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the funeral home.
