Lisa Kaye Brunson was born January 29, 1965, in Shreveport, LA. She was the daughter of Charles and Darlene Brunson and the youngest member of the family being born 10 minutes behind her twin brother Greg. She was also adored by her older siblings Debbie and Jeff, who both surprisingly got what they wished for in babies – a boy and a girl.
Lisa graduated from Parkway High School in 1983. She was a member of the band and a majorette. After graduation, she attended Louisiana Tech where she graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor Science in Business. Lisa lived in Plano, Texas where she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for the last 15 years.
Lisa was a lover of life, and always up for an adventure. She traveled all over the US, discovering a new place or event each weekend. When visiting family or friends, she always had one rule with each visit – we must go somewhere new! She loved her Saints, NASCAR, country dancing, camping, exploring and fur babies. After owning her beloved dogs, she began fostering them to try to help save as many lives as she could.
Lisa loved her family and was Aunt Leesie to her nieces (Courtney Simms, Caitlyn Brunson, Bailey Yarbrough, Shelby Myers, and Brittany McSweeny) and nephew (Andrew Brunson). She was a second grandma to her six great nieces and nephews. She enjoyed being a big kid with them, never missed a key moment, and played a huge role in all their lives.
