Lonnie “Red” Wilson, age 60, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Born Saturday, May 30, 1959, in Eubank, Kentucky, to the late Joseph Wilson and Alma Wesley. Red was a logger who loved being outside, in the woods, on the farm and working in the log woods.
Red leaves behind one son, Brian Wilson (Whitney) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; one daughter, Angela Alcorn (Roger) of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Anthony Alcorn and Caulin Wilson; one brother, Louie Wilson (Sharon) of Waynesburg; and four sisters, Barb Byrd of Loveland, Ohio, Helen James of Richmond, Kentucky, Linda Griffin (Squire) of Sharonville, Ohio and Margie Newcomb (Ronny) of Stanford, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, Red was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Wilson and David Wilson.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery.
The Visitation will be held 12-2PM Sunday at the funeral home.
