Martha Luster Brown

Martha Luster Brown, age 92, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. Born Saturday, October 5, 1929, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Coleman and Florin Smith Luster. She was the widow to the late Lloyd Brown whom she married Sunday, July 2, 1950, and preceded her in death on Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Martha was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She previously worked for the Lincoln County Public Library. Martha loved to garden, crochet, work puzzles and cook.

Martha leaves behind one daughter, Paula Francis Terry of Hustonville, Kentucky; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Luster (Linda) of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Sharon Jones (Don) of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Ann Ray; two grandchildren; three brothers, Teddy Luster, C.D. Luster and George Manuel Luster; and three sisters, Juanita Marr, Phyllis Frederick and Faustine Montgomery.

The Public Visitation will be 5-8PM Friday, March 4, 2022, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

The Public Funeral Service will be 10:30AM Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the funeral home. Bro. Greg Lockard will officiate the service. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Martha’s nephews will serve as Active Pallbearers.
