Phyllis J. Naylor Adams

Phyllis J. Naylor Adams, age 71, of McKinney, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Thursday, February 1, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wilbur & Delores Mae Meadows Naylor.  Her loving husband, whom she married Thursday, January 31, 1991, is Jimmy K. Adams of McKinney.  Phyllis retired in 2015, after a life-long employment career in various factories.  She was a faithful member of Green River Pentecostal Church, where she previously was a Sunday School Teacher, previous member of the Worship Team, previous member of the Audio/Visual Media Ministry, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, volunteered with Christmas Blessings, and various other ministries of the church. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and working puzzles. 

In addition to her husband, Phyllis leaves behind one daughter, Lisa Jean Fight (Paul) of Waynesburg, Kentucky; one son, Kevin Ray Hayes (Christy Jenson) of Lancaster, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Montana Fight (Damon Sudduth) of Frankfort, Kentucky, Zachary Roskens, Danny Fight, and Izabella Fight all of Waynesburg; four “special grandchildren”, Beatrice Naylor, Isabella Eckborg, Tobias Naylor, Lukas Woodall, and Rikki Naylor; one brother, Bro. Rick Naylor (Timsa) of Science Hill, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing. 

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by one son, Jamie Lee Johnson; and two brothers, Jerry Wayne Naylor, Sr. and David Lee Naylor. 

A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Monday, July 18, 2022, at Green River Pentecostal Church. 

A Public Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the church.  Bro. Johnny Walls & Bro. Bill Walls will officiate the service.  The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Green River Pentecostal’s and Fox & Friend Funeral Home’s Facebook pages and livestreamed on her memorial page on the funeral home’s website. 

A Graveside Service & Burial will take place 1:30PM Tuesday, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Joshua Naylor (nephew), Benjamin Naylor (nephew), Tim Tillett, Jeremy Todd, Johnny Mack Brown, Kenneth England, and Ivan Brown will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Phyllis’ grandchildren and “special grandchildren” will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
