Sue Baker Peek Obituary

Sue Baker Peek, age 78, of Hustonville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at her residence. Born Tuesday, August 19, 1941 in Hustonville, she was the daughter of the late James Allen and Lois Sims Baker. Sue was the widow of the late James D. “Jim” Peek, whom preceded her in death November 12, 2016.  Sue previously worked as a Telephone Operator for Bellsouth, and worked under Edith Cox in the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office.   After those positions, Sue enjoyed trucking with her husband Jim.  Sue was a member of Junction City First Baptist Church, was a Kentucky Colonel; enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking; and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sue leaves behind three daughters, Jamie McGuffey of Hustonville, Deborah Whitis (Scott) of Danville, Kentucky, and Becky Patterson (Doc) of Hustonville; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sue was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter.

A Private Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 27, 2020 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Tyler McGuffey officiating the service. Private Burial will follow at Hustonville Cemetery.  Sue’s grandchildren will serve as Active Pallbearers.

The Private Funeral Service will be live streamed, via our Facebook page, Friday at 1:00PM.
