Teresa Lynn Martinez

Teresa Lynn Martinez, age 41, of Danville, Kentucky, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.  Born Sunday, May 24, 1981, in Lexington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Linda C. Scharbrough Durham of Stanford, Kentucky, and the late Ronald Lee Durham.  Her loving husband, whom she married Tuesday, December 31, 2019, is Michael Martinez of Danville.  Teresa was a homemaker.  Teresa loved and supported her husband in all his endeavors, was extremely close to her grandchildren and Goddaughter, and was a faithful daughter and friend, and was a daddy’s girl. Teresa loved watching crime shows.  Halloween was her favorite holiday; and she enjoyed cooking for her family.

In addition to her husband and mother, Teresa leaves behind one son, Kristian Martinez of Somerset, Kentucky; one daughter, Gabriela Martinez (Ryan Plantz) of Danville; two grandchildren, Graysen Rayne Saylor and Emberly Skye Powers; Goddaughter, Fraya O’Conner; two brothers, Ronald Durham Jr., of Lexington, and Timothy Ray Durham of Stanford; a half-sister, Angel Earls of Nokesville, Virginia; one niece, Lilly Sunshine Durham; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.  

The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Bro. David Gambrel will officiate the service.  

Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, Kentucky.  Michael Martinez, Patrick O’Conner, Kristian Martinez, Ryan Plantz, Ronald Durham Jr., and Timothy Durham will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Jose Correa and Arron Yocum will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
