Jerry Lige Lewis

Jerry Lige Lewis was born to the late Calvin & Ruth Palmer Lewis on Sunday, March 30, 1947 in Marlow, Oklahoma.  His stay on earth ended on Friday, August 19, 2016 in Stanford, Kentucky.  He was a graduate of Marlow High and a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He married Margie Caudill Lewis of Eubank on Tuesday, November 1, 1977 and she survives him.  Jerry was a Postal Worker and later operated his own Carpet Cleaning Service.  He was a member of the Friendship Old Regular Baptist Church.  He liked friends, family, traveling, and UK Basketball. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his only son, Shawn; and three brothers, Albert, Bobby, and James.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Lavon Lewis of Marlow; a special aunt, Mollie Wall of Eubank; and a host of family and friends. 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Monday, August 22, 2016 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Elder Emory Caudill and Frank Fouts officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.  George Shea, Tim Brewster, Russell New, Dale Whitaker, Jason Hall, and Harlen Eldridge will serve as Active Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions suggested to the Lincoln County Educational Fund, Inc., PO Box 423, Stanford, KY 40484.
